The Last Day....

No, it's not The Day The Earth Stood Still (some say the day the earth took my money), and it's not the End of the World by some false prophet... But it's simply the last day of the Lunar Chinese New Year! The 15th day of the Chinese New Year which brings our collection of Red Packets, lou hei, and 'partially legalised gambling' to an end... Aw....

Indeed, the CNY is a time which never fails to bring lots of joy, peace and laughter to most people. Why do I use the word most, because I've known of people who dread CNY, some of these who do not seem to be able to share the joy with anyone, thus it becomes a dreadfully lonely time during festive seasons... Doesn't it trickle a faint feeling of compassion in our hearts to hear that there are indeed such people around who are not as fortunate as us, to be able to see, touch, smell, love our close relatives and friends... Some rejected by the society, some discriminated because of their birth, and some simply deserted by their families and friends for all kinds of reasons... Sorry for the melancholic post, but it just feels at this time that we also must be truly thankful for our blessings of friends, family, love and affection... And for our material possessions which gives us much comfort, that I can be well blogging here at the comfort of the aircon and computer connected to a high speed broadband internet...

Actually I dunno what triggered me to say what I've just said, coz when i started out with the thread, I simply wanted to wish everyone a last Happy Chinese New Year for the year!... :)
